Look out, Wonjo… Brooklyn is about to give you a little competition. sje reports on the Prospect Heights Message Board:
“I’ve been told 2-3 weeks till the opening, then we can enjoy Korean homecooking and barbeque without leaving PH.”
“I’m VERY psyched! I love Korean food! It’s in the old Nalani space on the corner (of Vanderbilt Ave. and Pacific Ave.).”
There’s already one Korean BBQ in Brooklyn that I know of: dokebi bar n grill, on grand between bedford and driggs. Pretty good.
check out pictures and reviews @ freewilliamsburg.com………
dokebi is in my opinion the korean bbq and shabu-shabu of all the attemps to open in non-traditional korean neighborhoods.
the “best” korean outside of k-town or flushing…. is what i meant.
Noona has finally opened and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I ate there last night, and the food was excellent. The owners have worked very hard to create an authentic korean menu and the food is good. Also, the staff is knowledgeable about that menu and they articulate that well.
I strongly suggest that others check this place out.
P.S. They don’t have their liquor license yet so bring some sake or wine with you.
