Susan writes: “Ever wonder what the inside of the old Cathedral high school, corner of Washington and Atlantic, looked like? Foxton’s has listed a condo in the building. 13 photos of the interior of the lobby and floor plans for an interesting (and pricey!) 2-bedroom bi-level apartment. The curved wall details and open second floor in the architectural rendering give it a mid-century modern feel. And the gargoyles on the building are fascinating.”
That was my high school, Cathedral Prep. I attended from 19** to 19**.
Unfortunately while I was attending school there I didn’t fully appreciate what I had, as far as eclectic architecure was concerned. I’m glad I went there now though.
Last summer, I was graciously given a tour of the interior lobby and courtyard by a current condo owner.
Of course, I’ll have to play Megamillions to afford one of these condos for myself, or work 4 jobs…

I remember when Peggy Aguayo converted or worked with the developer to convert these some 15 years ago. It’s amazing how the area has changed. I should have listened to her and my wife at that point. Such a gorgeous building!! Driving around the area and seeing all this construction, who would have known.
