PROSPECT PARK: Although they aren’t technically in ProHo, it’s obvious that these ducks, Lady Moody and Robert Moses, relate more to our side of Flatbush. Go visit them and their other bird friends at the Vale of Cashmere, which is sporting brand new fountains in its pond. But please, leave that stale bread at home.

Hmmm…thanks for that duck bread-feeding link. (As opposed to duck breast-feeding link.) I was at the Vale of Cashmere yesterday and saw a whole group of schoolkids and their teachers tossing food at the ducks.
I always thought the vale of cashmere was kinda sketchy. Always a few people just hanging out like they’re on guard duty. Is this a safe part of the park?
What is this obsession with safety? I think the only safe part of the park is the tot lot. As far as I can tell, The Vale of Cashmere is a popular cruising spot and a popular birdwatching spot. I’ve seen a couple of people smoking the marijuana there but they are unlikely to do anybody any harm, unless you are carrying a bag of Doritos, then I’d watch out.
Even the tot lot is sketchy, if you consider all the rat sightings there.
